Synapsis 2 Synapsis 2, yes, I know its been almost 3 years since I said I’d make the sequel but its finally out. The main reason why its taken so long is the first one was such a complete mind bending experience, and not just in the game play. It was one of the first games I coded and I didn’t actually really plan much of the game out, I dived into it without a plan and kind of worked on it until it all came together. Which made the development process into a 9 month super slog. It’s one of the games I’m most proud of as I really achieved what I set out with the game, but I really didn’t fancy spending another 9 months making a new one, I’d probably be homeless by the end of it. Which is when I stated talking to Rob Donkin about it, we’d done several other adventure games together, Dreamers, Panda’s big adventure so we kind of new how to plan it out a little better. I had a pretty good idea on what I wanted visually and how the story pans out, so we set about coming up with how it all comes together while we finished off Animal Raceway. We pretty much planned out the entire game this time before starting anything, Rob also took a break to work on some other games while I made a start on sketching up all the artwork on paper and getting resource images for inspiration of what it was going to look like.
